The American chef Wylie Dufresne is set to open a new restaurant in New York's East Village.
Grubstreetreports that the avant-garde chef is looking to open his second restaurant in the city and has bought an old pizzeria to turn into a 50 seater pub.
The restaurant will be called Alder and serve modern but casual food alongside cocktails.
Dufresne gained his reputation as the chef at the world famous wd-50 restaurant which offers a range of innovative dishes with unique and often surprising flavor pairings.
The new Alder restaurant is set to open in 2013 coinciding with the 10th Anniversary of wd-50.
