From Smashburgers to S’mores: Eric Bost’s San Diego County Picks
About the list
Travis is just a really really good cook and his team is super energized. The food is so delicious and there's something for almost everyone.
Some of our team are now on their team and it's a good community for us. The tapas are super flavorful. Their gin and tonic program is really interesting and it's a fun restaurant.
I do a lot of home cooking and they have really solid meats, cheeses and butter. This is where I go to get hanger steak, prosciutto cotto in the deli section and you can even get wood for your grill. It's a one-stop shop if you're cooking or grilling at home.
There's a crazy line, but it's an intense smashburger that's super crispy. It's got really good flavor with quality meat.
We don't eat a lot of dessert and sweets, but this place has great smoothies and bowls, and it's all oganic. My son gets the Strawberry Zen and I'll get the Warrior with housemade almond milk.
We always get the grilled mahi bowl with brown rice and avocado. It's a quick healthy lunch on the go.
