From 7 to 13 Milan will open its doors to a flood of international foodies, with conferences, workshops and tastings planned citywide. Here are the highlights.
Milan will open its doors to an impressive week long celebration of food from 7 to 13 May, in Milano Food City 2018 with over a staggering 100 events open to the public.
The citywide event will roll out in various venues across the city and includes conferences, exhibitions, masterclasses, tastings, showcooking, markets and much more.
From the chance to try food from the city's finest chefs in the shiny new business district to learning more about organic food in the grounds of the historical castle - gourmets, art lovers, tourists, professionals and families will all be catered for with an eclectic selection of events designed to appeal to all tastes.
And if that wasn't enough, the world's 21 best young chefs will be in town for the final phase of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2018 cooking competition on 12 and 13 May, with the winner being announced on the final day.

The Highlights:
Taste of Milano (10 to 13 May, The Mall, Porta Nuova)
This haute cuisine food fair serves as a great chance for newcomers to the city to discover the try a whopping 60 tasting dishes offered up by a line-up of the city's most illustrious chefs including Andrea Berton, Claudio Sadler and ten more favourites. Find out more on the website.
Farmer's Market (11 to 13 May - Castello Sforzesco, Piazza Castello )
Discover the authentic taste of Milan and the Lombardy region at the Campagna Amica three day farmer's market in the grounds of the imposing castle. Local cheese, cold cuts, jams and preserves,bread and rice, wine, honey and many other locally produced foods will all available to try and buy as well as the chance to watch their artisanal production.
Organic Festival (12 May, Via dei Mercanti, 20123, Milano MI)
Contests, show cooking and tastings will excite the uninitated into the organic world at this celebration in the city centre location.
Culture, scent and flavour at (10 to 13 May Quartiere Gratosoglio Via Michele Saponaro 28)
In this spectacular open air museum some of Frida Kahlo's most spectacular works will be exhibited in lights from 21.00 to 23.30 where spectators will also be treated with street food, concerts, dance and kids events.
Sky&Jazz (7 to 13 May, various locations across the city)
If you like good food and good music head to Sky and Jazz apertivio from 7 to 13 May in a week long artistic programme that kicks off at the Terrazza Duomo on 7 May. Find more info here.

The Global Food Innovation Summit welcomes an impressive and diverse speaker line-up with movers and shakers food, technology ans sustainability - former Secretary of State, USA's John F.
