Arthur is a neighborhood restaurant in Greenpoint from Chef Kevin Finch and co-owner Alexa Finch. Built with a team of longtime collaborators, including general manager and beverage director Charlotte Mirzoeff, the restaurant draws on the spirit of modern Parisian bistros, with an emphasis on thoughtful sourcing, shared meals, and a strong sense of place.

Arthur takes over the space following Finch’s residency at Fulgrances, marking his first restaurant after a career in some of the world’s most acclaimed kitchens. His experience includes Betony and Maialino in New York City, Maaemo in Oslo, and working alongside Chef Christopher Kostow to open Ensue in Shenzhen. As Chef de Cuisine at Atelier Crenn under Chef Dominique Crenn, he contributed to the restaurant earning three MICHELIN stars and a four-star review from the San Francisco Chronicle.

At Arthur, Finch’s cooking is rooted in the seasons of the Northeast, guided by a deep respect for ingredients and the people behind them. The menu balances familiarity with subtle shifts in flavor and composition, with dishes such as beef tartare with New York State beef and black garlic; grilled scallops with turnip and dashi; and brioche with house-cultured butter and blue cheese.

The beverage program, led by Mirzoeff, reflects a focus on small producers and thoughtful sourcing, alongside a concise cocktail list. A brioche martini, diluted with barley tea, echoes the warm, toasty notes of the kitchen.

As co-owner, Alexa Finch oversees operations and the guest experience, drawing on a background in global brand marketing and hospitality, including time at The Breslin, LaLou, and Water Witch, as well as a scholarship to the MAD Academy. Together, the team prioritizes consistency and connection, building a restaurant grounded in its neighborhood.
