The semifinalists for the 2017 James Beard Awards have been announced ahead of the JBF Gala which will take place at the Lyric Opera of Chicago on May 1.
The lists covers Best New Restaurants, chef nominees for different regions in the US and categories for things like the most outstanding bar programs and best pastry chefs. Both the Rising Star Chef of The Year and the Outstanding Restaurant award will be presented S.Pellegrino.
The James Beard Awards cover the full restaurant spectrum of America with award categories covering food, wine, design and service.
