Vinitaly 2012: the World's Biggest Wine Fair is Going to Start

Wine takes centre stage in the city of Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers in north-eastern Italy later this month. Now approaching half a century of age, Vinitaly is simply the planet’s biggest event for this sector.

In keeping with its traditional nature of a predominantly professional event, Vinitaly is expected to once more offer a great potential for business opportunities. Anyone is welcome though and attendants will be spoilt for choice: the agenda is packed as always.

You may be celebrating the great classics, exploring the up-and-coming winemakers and terroirs, discussing the state of the wine industry or simply strolling around the 95,000 square metres of the fair, possibly trying to take in as many as you can of the over 4,000 exhibitors; you will be hard pressed to find the time for a toast to Romeo and Juliet’s undying love.
