Now in its 15th edition, the S.Pellegrino Sapori Ticino haute cuisine dinner series returns to the Swiss canton of Ticino from 4 October to 14 November 2021, with this year's special theme: 'Ticino meets the Italian regions'.
Ten two-Michelin-starred Italian chefs will present the best of their respective regions, from north to south, in ten separate dinners, hosted by their Ticino colleagues in beautiful lakeside locations around the canton. "With the choice of this theme, I absolutely want to make a unique event dedicated to Italy and its regions, which, from my point of view, contain the best cuisine in the world, but above all show how it is essential to put one's own territory in modern food and wine," said patron Dany Stauffacher.
The grand opening takes place on 4 October at Lugano's Hotel Splendide Royal, setting the tone for the line-up of Michelin-starred dinners to come, before closing with a final party on 14 November, where some of the most talented chefs in Ticino will take to the pass.
Other special events in the programme include an evening dedicated to women, with guest chef Chiara Pavan from Venissa Restaurant in Venice, hosted by winemaker Gaby Gianini at the Tenuta Castello di Morcote. An evening of French food and wine at the Seven Lugano The Restaurant with chef Claudio Bollini and Bernard Fournier. And finally, an evening at the Moncucchetto restaurant, dedicated to historic Italian 'osterias' together with the Osteria della Villetta by Maurizio and Grazia Rossi (in Palazzolo sull’Oglio).
