MetroCooking DC 2018: Showcooking, Celeb Chefs, Tastings and more

Stuck for new festive recipe ideas or seaonal gifts for the food lovers in your life? Then head over to MetroCooking DC in Washington DC in the run up to Christmas, on 1 and 2 December.

This year's 13th annual culinary showcase has some big names headlining like Emeril Lagasse, Jacques Pepin, Emmy-award winning Lidia Bastianich and TV host and cookbook author Carla Hall alongside plenty of interactive food fun.

Guests will get to experience live demos from James Beard honored chefs, participate in workshops and taste restaurant food as well shop till they drop with over 200 specialty food vendors in the marketplace.

Highlights include the BBQ Bash highlighting the area’s top barbecue restaurants and pitmasters with food samples and grilling tips and trends and the Grand Tasting Pavilion when more than 50 restaurants will serve up signature sweet and savory bites.

A Holiday Gingerbread House Competition adds some festive flair at which local professional and amateur bakers will showcase their creations and vie for prizes including “People’s Choice”.
