Few Indian restaurants have achieved the global recognition of Gymkhana. Opened in London’s Mayfair district in 2013, the restaurant began slowly. “In the early days, it was depressing,” says Karam Sethi, co-founder of Gymkhana and JKS Restaurants, a group born from his passion for Delhi-style Indian cuisine and London’s lack of it.
Gymkhana earned its second Michelin star in 2024. In December 2025, it opened its second location at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, an endeavor more than 10 years in the making. Gymkhana Las Vegas expands on the intimate feel of the Mayfair original with double the capacity and three distinct dining areas while maintaining its signature clubby atmosphere.
Gymkhana’s signature oud-based scent greets guests upon arrival, and two bars anchor the space in shades of green and gold. The menu features many of the restaurant’s most recognized dishes, including Amritsari shrimp and scallops fried in a red chili and carom seed batter, and gol guppas, puffed pastry shells filled with spiced potatoes, sprouts, and cumin-infused water.
The tasting menu offers courses such as minced goat kebab, Goan prawn curry, and chicken butter masala. A robust wine list and cocktail program accompany the food, including the Bagheera, a mezcal margarita inspired by green chili chutney.
