Once of the biggest industry events returns to Lyon in January with a host of international stands and the all important Bocuse d'Or.

Sirha, one of the largest Food Service trade shows in the world, which takes place every two years, is back from 26 to 30 January 2019 in Lyon Eurexpo, France.

What's on at Sirha 2019?

Nearly 200,000 professionals including 25,000 chefs are expected to attend this leading food industry event.

This year, Sirha will also host the Sirha World Cuisine Summit, on Tuesday, 29 January throughout the afternoon. The goal? "Half a day of reflection on the major emergences that impact the restaurant" reads the official press release. In addition to its many French and international stands, visitors will find also the Village of start-ups and Trophies of innovation rewarding both edible products and materials. The Sirha will also be the site of 21 competitions including the famous Bocuse d'Or and World Pastry Cup.

The Bocuse d'Or - 29 and 30 January 

The 17th edition of the Bocuse d'Or will be the first edition since the passing of its creator, Paul Bocuse. This year, once again, 24 young chefs from around the world will fight for their country with just 5h35 to realize dishes with their teams in front of an exuberant public! World Cup of Pastry - 27 and 28 January 

The World Cup of Pastry celebrates its 30th anniversary! For this 2019 edition, 21 countries will compete to win the title with an event imposing a dessert to the vegan plate on the theme: Nature, fauna and flora. " A commitment to highlighting the importance of bee conservation, in partnership with UNAF and the realization of a chocolate dessert on honey biscuit."
