The local jury panel for the North America Regional Final has been confirmed and the date for this exciting cook-off has been set! On 4 and 5 November, ten of the best young chefs in North America will compete for the title of regional champion in New York.
Chefs from across the USA and Canada, will each be accompanied by a professional chef mentor who will provide guidance and support during the competition where they will be given a set time to prepare their signature dish under strict competition conditions.
When their time's up, each young chef will be tasked with the daunting moment of presenting their finished dish to a panel of chef judges, namely; Ashley Christensen, Connie DeSousa, Rob Gentile, Jordana Rothman and Michael Solomonov. (meet the local jury here)
It's these five leading chefs will be tasked with the challenging job of picking the most outstanding young chef on the day who has demonstrated unrivalled technical skills, genuine creativity and an exceptional, strong personal belief about Gastronomy. This young chef will receive the most prestigious title of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef Award!
At this regional level there are also three other awards up for grabs (including one that you can vote for online!):
1. The Fine Dining Lovers Food for Thought Award
voted for by the online Fine Dining Lovers community, for the young chefs that best represent their personal belief within their dish.

2. S.Pellegrino Award for Social Responsibility
Voted by an internationally recognized voice on sustainability in food, for the dish that will represent the principle of socially responsible practices.
3. Acqua Panna Award
Voted for by mentors representing 50 countries around the world, for the dish that will be the one that reflects the perfect connection between different cultures on the plate.
