Grant Achatz and the ultra creative team at NEXT, an ever evolving restaurant whose menu and style changes around every three months, will present a unique World’s 50 Best Restaurants themed dinner on August 23 - December 31.
The dinner will feature a collection of famous dishes from some of the biggest names on the World’s 50 Best Restaurant list: Daniel Humm, Dan Barber, Virgilio Martinez, Massimo Bottura, Gaggan Anand and Andre Chiang - to name just a few.
18 chefs in total will be part of the collaboration, although they won’t actually cook at NEXT they will send exact recipes so Achatz and crew can recreate and produce a menu that will essentially invite diners to travel the world through their tongue.
Achatz and the NEXT crew have riffed on a number of exciting themes in the past, from Ancient Rome to an all vegan inspired menu, a Chicago steakhouse offering to a full on elBulli homage. The 50 Best idea is the first time the team have tried to produce a menu combining so many contrasting styles, ingredients and techniques.
This is sure to be one of the most exciting dinners of 2017. Below is a list of the chefs taking part in the unique offering.
After Central was named restaurant of the decade by Latin America's 50 Best, Virgilio Martínez is looking to explore new territories, but not without the help of some super-talented chefs. Meet the trio helping the Peruvian chef realise his vision in Russia and Japan.
Geranium's Rasmus Kofoed has decided to stop serving meat at the restaurant currently ranked number two on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list. But the Danish chef isn't yet willing to go purely plant-based.
