Cashing in on the huge success of the 50 Shades of Grey franchise a steakhouse in New York has created a Valentine’s inspired 50 Shades of Grey Martini.
The drink, which cost $50, was created at The Old Homestead steakhouse using five different varieties of vodka: Ketel One, Citroen, Chopin Potato, Double Cross, Titos and Purity.
It’s served in a martini glass alongside three oysters, some edible handcuffs, panties, a blindfold and a flogger.
The mixologist behind the drink, Emily Soto, said: “It pulls you in and takes control after your first sip.” The steakhouse, which is famous for offering crazy dishes like a $35,000 Thanksgiving meal, say they managed to sell around 50 drinks and will be making it a regular item on their menu.
They just warn anyone wanting the drink to call ahead and let them know so they can whip one up before you arrive.
