Kat is a food and travel journalist and the author of Unicorn Food, a plant-based cookbook centered on medicinal ingredients, as well as the low-alcohol cocktail book Day Drinking. She is a regular contributor to Bloomberg Pursuits.
Previously, she served as the inaugural editor of Eater Drinks, after spending five years as the editor of Eater LA. Kat’s work has appeared in The Michelin Guide, Vogue, The New York Times’ T Magazine, Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, Food & Wine, and more. She has also appeared on numerous television shows, including as a series regular on Bravo’s Eat Drink Love and FYI’s Midnight Feast.
In addition to her editorial work, Kat is a journalist and “tastehunter” for the World’s 50 Best Restaurants organization and runs a hospitality consulting business, advising top restaurants and hotels around the world. She is also a partner in New York’s Sendo Sushi.
