Parabere Forum 2017: Redefining Sustainability

The discussion forum that voices the role of women on major food and wine issues returns with a top line-up of guest speakers on 5 and 6 March.

The second ever edition of Parabere Forum, a non-profit international platform featuring female voices on major food issues, is due to unfold in Barcelona on 5 and 6 March 2017.

300 delegates and 30 speakers from five continents will gather for two days of stirring discussion. Top opinion leaders, food activists, international scientists, farmers, chefs and sommeliers will all unite to examine the theme of "redefining sustainability" in the food and wine industry.

The challenges and opportunities on the this year's topic will be tackled by some of the world's most famous female chefs including Ana Ros, recently named The World's Best Female Chef, Dominique Crenn and Roberta Sudbrack debating "In search of women chefs." Other topics include "edible insects" and "sustainable seafood" and "cooking with conscience."

Last year's inaugural event was held in Bilbao, Spain, attracting equally high-profile international guest speakers, including Dr. Vandana Shiva,  who explored the theme of 'inspiration'.

This year's event will be held in Barcelona and aimed at attracting a live audience of chefs, sommeliers and farmers, although the event is open to all to join the conversation: #ParabereForum.
