Cook It Raw, an event where culinary giants gather in an unkown territory to learn about the local ingredients, is headed to Poland. The gastronomic event will be held from the 25th to 30th of August in the Suwalki region in northeastern Poland.
In its third year, Cook It Raw was founded by Alessandro Porcelli and Andrea Petrini in Copenhagen. Their philosophy is to get avant garde chefs to discover new territories, ingredients and connect with local cooks and food producers.
Cook It Raw has already celebrated five gathering of chefs, with the most recent held last year in Japan. For this edition, innovative stellar chefs will gather with local cooks, hunters and artists to explore the local food culture in a part of the world where potatoes, onions and cabbage are staples.
Participating chefs include Rene Redzepi from Noma, Albert Adria from Tickets and 41 Degrees; Davide Scabin from Combal.Zero; Inaki Aizpitarte, fromLe Chateaubriand, which ranked 15th on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list; and Ana Ros, the sole female chef participating in the event.
