With a reputation as being one of the sexiest men alive, Johnny Depp has been the object of admiration for decades. Wanting to get closer to the Hollywood actor a British woman has made a life-sized cake in his honor.
Inspired by Jack Sparrow, Depp's character in the film Pirates of the Caribbean, baker Lara Clarke has crafted a 5-foot 5-inch cake replica of the famous pirate, the BBC reports.
The Johnny Depp cake has a searing gaze and flirty smile that makes it easy to forget it's simply made from crisped rice, marshmallows, PVC pipes and stainless steel supports. The outside is decorated in royal and fondant icing and edible paint.
Clarke, who only began baking two years ago, entered her Johnny Depp cake in the Cake International competition currently taking place in Birmingham. ''The judges are probably more used to seeing three-tier wedding cakes than giant Jack Sparrows,'' she told the BBC.
There's no word yet on how her cake faired but a competition spokesperson did say Clarke's creativity was 'surprising.'
