What is Rolled Ice Cream?
Rolled ice cream originated in Thailand where the liquid ice cream base is spread and frozen on an anti-griddle that is kept at -30C (-22F). It is scraped and reshaped (it is usually mixed with fruits, nuts and/or candy) and literally rolled into cigar-shaped pieces.
It is a popular ice cream treat in Malaysia, the Philippines and Cambodia, according to Forbes.
