Here’s a new trailer for a documentary that follows the Belgium born chefSergio Herman during the months he closed his three Michelin starred restaurant in Sluis, Holland, and opened a new place in Antwerp.
Herman closed the Oud Sluis restaurant back in December 2013 - at the time it was 35th on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list and widely regraded as one of the best dining experiences in The Netherlands. He said he had reached a peak and that it was a time for a new goal in his life.
The new documentary, Fucking Perfect, focuses on the chef’s ambition and hard work in the kitchen, it also seems to be about the chef and his family trying to work out the all important home and work life balance.
In 2014 Herman came back with The Jane - a restaurant inside a former chapel on the site of an old military hospital in Antwerp. The documentary also focuses on this shift as the self professed ‘country boys’ take their food into the big city.
