The Michelin Guide for Kansai 2015 has been released, covering the four cities of Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe and Nara in Japan.
The 2015 Kansai Michelin Guide features three new two-starred restaurants; Lida in Kyoto receives a second star while Mitsuyasu, also in Kyoto, enters the guide with a two star rating. Aoki in Osaka also enters the guide at a two star level.
In the one star category, 16 new restaurants feature with seven in Kyoto, four in Osaka and five in Kobe.
In total the 2015 edition of the Kansai Michelin Guide features 14 three-star restaurants, 54 two-star restaurants and 186 one-star restaurants.
