Mexico City to Host Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2016
03 August, 2016
Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants will be held on 26 September in Mexico City, it has been announced. The event, sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna and now in its fourth year, is coming to the Mexican capital for the second year in a row and will be staged at the Centro Cultural Roberto Cantoral (above).
In the days building up to the ceremony itself there will be a number of special events, including a #50BestTalks: Latin Liquids event examining “the role of drinks in regional gastronomy” and the annual Chefs’ Feast, before the winner of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2016 is announced on the evening of the 26th.
Additionally, in the weeks prior to the event a number of other awards will be announced, including The Diners Club® Lifetime Achievement Award (won by Mexico's Enrique Olvera in 2015), Best Female Chef and the One To Watch Award.
