Using salt mined from Poland the French design company Best Before have created these wonderful vessels made entirely from salt.
Each one is handmade using a chisel and hammer to carve the designs directly from huge blocks of mineral.
Salt pots and even egg holders have been created by the company who will be showing off their latest work at Maison & Objet from the 18th of january through to the 22nd of january, 2013.
Rather than just being faux-meat, Mamu is different. It's a mushroom-based meat alternative that's getting its launch in restaurants so that chefs can test its versatility. Flora Tsapovsky investigates.
