As the end of the week swings around we reflect on the week's events in the best way we know how, with some good old fashioned gratuitous Instagram food porn.
There's been plenty of food for thought over the past seven days, both political and sporting, so whether you're commiserating or celebrating, or just into re-inventing the donut, what better way to distract your thoughts than drooling over some of Instagram's finest food shots.

We're all about Nikkei Cusine these days, the culinary fusion of Japanese technique and exciting Peruvian ingredients. This dish is tiradito, salmon sashimi set on a mango miso sauce.

These ice bowl noodle dishes got us talking that come served in a Japanese restaurant in Kyoto. Aside from looking totally cool, they give the noodles a whole new dimension.

We took a look at some of the mouth-watering traditional local products from the southern Italian region of Puglia. They don't get much better than fresh burrata by the sea.

The winning dish of the victorious young chef in the UK and Ireland region, George Kataras, that wowed the judges; Ollie Dabbous, Claude Bosi, Ross Lewis and Jp McMahon was a whole turbot.
