We should have seen it coming. First came the urban gardens, followed by rooftop farms, chicken coops and beehives. It was only a matter of time until a group of foodies realized the world would be better off with a magazine dedicated to farming in today's society.
Thus, as flowers begin to bloom next spring, Modern Farmer will hit newstands. The print quarterly and website is ''devoted to the people, policy, animals, plants, and technology around farming and food.''
