Essentially, this new book is a compedium of culinary talent across the nation. You'll see how esteemed veterans, award-winnings chefs and up and coming stars rank. It is set to be published in early 2013.
All of the chefs profiled were nominated by their peers, culinary professions or food enthusiasts. Every chef received peer reviews - a process that required more than 50,000 phone calls and over 5,000 one-on-one interviews with chefs.
Critics have called it ''exciting and refreshing'' and have deemed it the ''standard bearer of culinary peer review for years to come.'' So far, the 375-page book isn't on Amazon but can be preordered on the Best Chefs of America website. It retails for $75.
