The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco made a big impression at her wedding recently with a cake that hung upside down from a crystal chandelier.
The upside down wedding cake was designed by The Butter End and literally sat throughout the service hanging from the roof.
It cake had six tiers and was surrounded by Crystals making it one of the main attractions of the wedding, after the bride of course.
Kimberly Bailey, who designed the cake, said the actress told her it "couldn’t be too over-the-top" before showing her some images of giant chandeliers. Bailey says the idea came quickly after this, "Immediately an image of a chandelier, floating just off the ground with a giant cake nested on top of it came into my head. Kaley was excited about it, so I started sketching it.
"I told her that I had a vision of the chandelier high with the cake upside down as an extension of the chandelier…like a finial. She lost it! She was down with it immediately. It hadn’t been done before to my knowledge. It would surely be an engineering feat. There was no looking back after that."
