It’s safe to say that the wealthiest people on the planet are those who own their own private jets. So when Elite Traveler, a ‘private jet lifestyle publication’, surveyed its readers on the world’s best rest restaurants, the results were at the higher end of the market.
Readers of Elite Traveler are in the wealthiest category with an average net worth of $32 million. There are over 600,000 readers of the magazine. All the usual big hitters are represented on the Elite Traveler annual Top 100 list.
Restaurant Swarzwaldstube climbed eight places to enter the top 20, this year, however, it tragically burned to the ground last week. The restaurant at number one, while, undoubtedly great, perhaps reflects the concentration of millionaires living in proximity. New York and Paris were definitely the winners as fine dining destinations for the well-heeled. Claire Smyth’s Core is a notable new entry in at number 50.
Mauro Colagreco's Mirzur, currently number one on The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2019 list was up 11 places to just 69th place.
