Italy’s wine regions are coming to Manhattan, and they’re bringing approximately 2,500 labels. Vinitaly.USA will make its New York debut October 26–27 at Pier 36, gathering 300 Italian exhibitors for two days of tastings, masterclasses, and conversations about what Americans are drinking. After two editions in Chicago, the trade event is taking its first turn in New York.
Organized by Veronafiere-Vinitaly in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency, the exhibition brings producers together with importers, distributors, sommeliers, and hospitality professionals. For anyone building a wine list, it’s a chance to cover considerable Italian ground without leaving the Lower East Side. Consortia representing Brunello di Montalcino, Asti DOCG, and Prosecco DOC will join regional groups from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lazio, and Sardinia.
There’s also plenty to get into between tastings. The accompanying wine2wine Vinitaly Business Forum will host 22 sessions covering everything from wine tourism to the practical business of getting a bottle onto a restaurant table. One masterclass looks beyond Nebbiolo and Sangiovese to Italian grapes worth considering for by-the-glass programs and pairings. Another tackles America’s three-tier distribution system, a useful subject for anyone who has discovered that finding a great wine and getting hold of it are two different challenges.
Vinitaly Tourism will explore the connections between wine and travel, while SOL Expo initiatives will give Italian extra virgin olive oil some time in the spotlight, too.
Next comes Verona. Vinitaly’s 59th edition will run April 11–14, 2027, at Veronafiere, following a 2026 edition that welcomed approximately 4,000 exhibitors and 90,000 trade visitors from 135 countries.
The sprawling wine and spirits exhibition offers room to follow a particular interest or discover a new one. Dedicated areas will focus on organic, natural, and biodynamic wines, alongside small producers and native Italian grapes. Enoteca NoLo will explore no- and low-alcohol wines, while Vinitaly Xcellent Spirits will bring bartenders into the mix for cocktail workshops and masterclasses.
You don’t have to work in wine to join the Verona festivities. Vinitaly and the City, the public-facing companion event, will fill the historic center with tastings, wine talks, masterclasses, and food and wine experiences April 9–11. For travelers planning an Italian spring escape, those are dates worth building a trip around.
