Wickedly Good: Magical Mocktails Inspired by Oz

6 Minute read

Glinda and Elphaba get the mocktail treatment in two sparkling creations designed for the ultimate Oz celebration.

The curtain is finally rising. Wicked: For Good lands in theaters this weekend, and what better way to celebrate than with drinks worthy of Oz itself? Whether you have always rooted for Glinda’s glitter or Elphaba’s edge, these sparkling sips channel a little of both. They are fizzy, fab, and dramatic in all the right ways, with no spells or spirits required.

Each one stars Sanpellegrino® Sparkling Water, bringing bright Italian bubbles to a true Broadway-level moment. Think of them as your pre-show ritual, your post-movie treat, or the perfect excuse to belt “Defying Gravity” in your kitchen.

These mocktails are a toast to friendship, redemption, and a little bit of magic, no matter which side of Oz you cheer for.

The “Popular!” Pomegranate Cream Soda Glow-Up

Sweet, sparkly, and pinker than Ariana Grande’s wardrobe.

This mocktail takes classic cream soda and gives it a full Glinda-style glow-up. The vanilla adds warmth, the pomegranate fizz brings personality, and the result is basically a sippable magical treat, wand not included except on the side of the glass.

Instructions:

  • Fill a shaker with ice.
  • Add 30 ml vanilla syrup and 30 ml half-and-half or oat milk.
  • Shake until frothy.
  • Strain into a glass rimmed with pink sugar and filled with fresh ice.
  • Top with 90 ml Sanpellegrino® Melograno & Arancia, or fill to the top of the glass.
  • Garnish with a strawberry slice for a POP-ular splash of color.

“I’ll Get You, My Pretty!” Sour Potion

Bright, biting, and a little bit wicked.

This zesty green potion is Elphaba in liquid form. It is sharp, a touch sour, and absolutely destined to steal the spotlight. Lemon and lime bring the brightness, honey syrup smooths the edges, and a dusting of edible glitter ensures every sip has bling. It is definitely Cynthia Erivo approved.

Instructions:

  • Fill a shaker with ice.
  • Add 15 ml lime juice and 15 ml honey syrup.
  • Shake to chill.
  • Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Top with 90 ml Sanpellegrino® Lemonata, or fill to the top of the glass.
  • Add a pinch of edible green glitter.
  • Garnish with a lemon slice and a star cocktail pick.
