Sip, Shriek & Sparkle: Halloween Cocktails for a Bewitching Night

Celebrate spooky season with Halloween cocktails like the Bloody Bellini, Candy Corn Collins, and Black Widow Smash—festive drinks made with Sanpellegrino® Sparkling Drinks.

Summer’s spritzes have been retired, the pool is closed, and suddenly it’s skeleton season in everybody’s front yard. October needs cocktails that feel fun and festive. Drinks that channel Netflix’s Wednesday, and make you want to stay out past midnight. Enter the spooky trio that’s fizzy, flavorful, and all dressed up for Halloween. 

Each cocktail features a different variety of Sanpellegrino® Sparkling Drinks, guaranteed to get the party, or the séance, started on Halloween.

Black Widow Smash

A dark twist on a fall smash. Juicy berries, herbal rosemary, and a bite of citrus come together for a drink that’s equal parts chilling and classic.

It’s the cocktail equivalent of a femme-fatale costume, this smash is deceptively easy to pull off and will lure you in for seconds. The blackberry, rosemary, and cherry-lemon combo blends the sweet and sour lines, while the spider garnish is pure Halloween kitsch. Just watch out for bites.

Ingredients: 

  • 4 blackberries (fresh or thawed)
  • 1 small sprig fresh rosemary
  • 15 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 120 ml Sanpellegrino® Ciliegia & Limone (Cherry & Lemon)
  • 15 ml bourbon
  • Plastic spider ring for garnish

Steps:

  1. In a cocktail shaker or sturdy glass, muddle blackberries and rosemary until juicy and aromatic.
  2. Pour in bourbon and lemon juice, then add ice. Shake or stir well.
  3. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.
  4. Pour over the Sanpellegrino® Ciliegia & Limone and stir gently to mix.
  5. Hook a spider ring on the rim or float it on top for that perfect Black Widow touch.

Candy Corn Collins

Fun layers that look like the Halloween candy classic, sans sugar crash.

This one’s all about the spectacle. It’s a striped showstopper that turns your bar into a candy store for grown-ups. Think citrusy sweetness, creamy top, and that nostalgic color palette, like a cocktail that raided a trick-or-treat bag and got fancy about it.

Ingredients: 

  • 45 ml vodka
  • 90 ml Sanpellegrino® Aranciata Rossa (Blood Orange)
  • 15 ml coconut cream
  • Candy corn or orange slice, for garnish

Steps:

  1. In a shaker with ice, combine vodka and Sanpellegrino® Aranciata Rossa (Blood Orange).
  2. Float a small spoonful of coconut cream on top for the white candy-corn “cap.”
  3. Garnish with a candy corn in the cream or an orange slice on the edge of the glass.

 

Candy Corn Cocktail

The Bloody Bellini

Sophisticated, sparkly, and a little gory in the best way.

Some Halloween cocktails lean on gimmicks, but this one leans on bloody glamour. Deep pomegranate notes meet effervescent bubbles for a drink that looks like a vampire’s favorite toast. The drizzle of grenadine “blood” gives it that perfect campy edge.

Ingredients: 

  • 90 ml Sanpellegrino® Melograno & Arancia (Pomegranate & Orange)
  • 90 ml Prosecco
  • 5 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 5–10 ml grenadine
  • Cherry or lemon twist, for garnish

Steps:

  1. Fill a champagne flute about three-quarters full with Prosecco.
  2. Add a dash of lemon juice for brightness.
  3. Top with Sanpellegrino® Melograno & Arancia (Pomegranate & Orange).
  4. Slowly drizzle grenadine down the inside (and outside for extra drama) of the glass to vamp it up.
  5. Garnish with a cherry or a twisted lemon peel for extra zhuzh.
