Travis McGinty is the executive chef of Breva, a New American brasserie on the Brighton Beach boardwalk in Brooklyn, where he channels coastal flavors into shareable, year-round menus. 

A Food Network alum, McGinty cooked and consulted across New York before partnering with Apicii Hospitality on Breva’s launch and seasonal updates. His resume includes time with Marc Forgione and collaborations with Harold Dieterle, experience that sharpened his modern American approach and brasserie instincts. 

Raised in Gulfport, Mississippi, he brings a Southern sense of hospitality and a love of crisp textures—think butter-basted seafood, spritz-friendly snacks, and produce-forward sides—designed for beachside gatherings. At Breva, McGinty’s cooking nods to the boardwalk’s history while keeping the flavors clean, seasonal, and crowd-pleasing for locals and visitors alike.
