The Chef

Max Wittawat is the executive chef and co-founder of Bangkok Supper Club, where he is redefining modern Thai cuisine in the United States, elevating it from casual takeout fare to a destination dining experience.

A Bangkok native, Wittawat bridges tradition and innovation through cooking inspired by Thailand’s late-night dining scene, from street-stall bites to after-hours dishes. He graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in 2009 and competed on Iron Chef in the United States, Japan, and Thailand before partnering with 55 Hospitality, the New York-based restaurant group founded by Jenn Saesue and Chat Suansilphong.

Since opening in 2023, Bangkok Supper Club has become one of New York’s most sought-after reservations. Wittawat can often be found in the kitchen of the West Village restaurant, while also overseeing operations at his other Thai restaurant, Fish Cheeks, which has locations in NoHo and Williamsburg.
