The trend for Italian food in Paris is evidenced by L'Alimentari, a tiny trattoria in the Marais district. It may be less showy than Guy Martin Italia, but has been making quite a buzz since opening last Spring.
General opinion seems to be divided: François-Régis Gaudry of the L’Express writes that “it is Italy at its truest”, while Emmanuel Rubin of Figaroscope says that the restaurant should pay more attention to how it cooks its pasta and less on the interior décor. As the saying goes, “there’s no such thing as bad press”.
