With smell making up a high part of our taste it’s no surprise to see The Ritz-Carlton hotel in Berlin and their recent perfume inspired cocktail bar.
Called Fragrances, the bar allowed customers to choose from 15 cocktails that were each matched with a different scent, adding a whole new level to the taste of the cocktail.
The Huffington Post reports that the Earl Grey infused Don Julio Reposado with pink lady apple juice, jasmine tea and vanilla, honey and cucumber syrup is inspired by a fragrance called Heissen by Jo Malone.
Guests are asked to choose their cocktail using scents, owner Arnd Heissen says, “At Fragrances, we want our guests not only to enjoy their drinks but to experience them”.
