See The James Beard Classics for 2019

The James Beard Awards have announced their annual list of America’s Classics, a selection of five regional restaurants from across America that “serve quality food that reflects the character of their communities.”

We all know a good restaurant can be the beating heart of a community and there are many establishments on the list that take on that role.

The 2019 America’s Classics where spend across the country with a real mix of dining options making the final cut. There was Jim's Steak and Spaghetti House in West Virginia, the Pho 79 restaurant in California, the famous A&A Bake & Double and Roti Shop in New York, Annie's Paramount Steakhouse in Washington D.C. and Sehnert's Bakery & Bieroc Café in Nebraska.

This is a selection of local, often family owned restaurants that serve their community with "lasting appeal" - the sort of places that need to be recognized and celebrated. Below you can take a look at each place.
