Europe springs into life this summer, with food festivals popping up all over the continent in the warmer months. With such a wide range of local, traditional and innovative food festivals to choose from, starting in May, there is something to suit all tastes.
Amsterdam Rolling Kitchens (Rollende Keukens), 17-21 May
An army of gourmet-food trucks take over Amsterdam’s Westergasfabriek Park for a food festival with a difference. A wide range of cuisines are available from Dutch seafood and delicacies, to American BBQ, Indian food, pizza and much more. With music and entertainment in a relaxed Dutch atmosphere, this is a great weekend.
Taste of Antwerp (Antwerpen Proeft), 18-21 May
In its 15th year, Taste of Antwerp will welcome 10s of thousands of hungry gourmands over the course of three days in May. With tastings from over 25 restaurants and caterers from in and around the city there is something for everyone. Plenty of variety and a relaxed Belgian vibe make Taste of Antwerp one of the best summer food festivals in Europe.
Budapest Gourmet Festival, 2-4 June

A wonderful city hosts a food festival celebrating all that is great about a thriving Hungarian gastronomic scene. Local and traditional delicacies stand alongside some leading names in the world of gastronomy, and a beautiful setting and excellent food means this is a festival with it all.
Taste of Stockholm, 3-11 June
Stockholm's food scene puts its best foot forward in what is a hugely popular attraction with previous year's editions clocking up to 350,000 visitors over the course of four days. 40 of the city’s restaurants and caterers provide a wide range of cuisines, with music and entertainment located in the city's downtown park, Kungsträdgården.
Taste of London, 14-18 June

This food festival behemoth includes offerings from 40 of London's restaurants and top chefs, with an open-air feast in Regent’s Park. Five days of gluttony will include workshops, tastings, masterclasses, and 200 food and drink stalls.
Taste of Dublin, 15-18 June
When the weather holds, this is a great festival held in the city's 'secret gardens' the Iveagh Gardens. Compact and yet full of variety, Taste of Dublin showcases the best of a scene that is getting better and better.
Gourin Crêpe Festival (Fête de la Crêpe), 29-30 July
The town of Gourin, in Brittany, France hosts the annual Crêpe Festival where you can feast on crêpes and galettes, the region’s famous buckwheat pancakes. A folk forward food festival that celebrates the traditions of one of the world’s most renowned food areas, this is a midsummer treat.
Copenhagen Cooking, 18-27 August
The centrepiece of Harvest Feast (Høstfest), is a long table where up to 1,500 people eat. The food is provided by eight local restaurants in collaboration with local producers. Bringing your own beverages is optional but you must bring your own cutlery and plates, which makes clearing up a whole lot easier for the organisers and better for the environment too. There are lots of tastings, workshops and talks to get stuck into all around Copenhagen during the event.
