Knitting and food have become inseparable as of lately. Fine Dining Lovers recently brought you the charming Knitted Butchery, a set of sausages, roasts and pork cuts made out of wool. Now, we present you the latest in fake food: the Knitted Happy Meal.
These knitted fries and cheeseburgers, complete with wool lettuce, onions and tomatoes, are part of Triples, a series designed by Los Angeles-based artist Sol Jeane. You may not be able to eat them but they sure make a killer display.
Rather than just being faux-meat, Mamu is different. It's a mushroom-based meat alternative that's getting its launch in restaurants so that chefs can test its versatility. Flora Tsapovsky investigates.
