

Diego Oka
Chef Diego Oka runs the kitchen at La Mar by Gastón Acurio in Miami, where he showcases modern and authentic Peruvian flavours with a Miami twist.
Born and raised in Lima, Peru, Oka studied culinary arts at Lima’s Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola before a chance meeting with chef Gastón Acurio led to an internship at the chef's Astrid & Gaston restaurant. From here his career bloomed, and he has since run La Mar kitchens in both Latin America and the US, from Lima and Bogota, to San Francisco.
