Discover the Turkish Restaurant OD Urla
Turkish restaurant OD Urla came to life in 2018 in the midst of Urla’s vineyards in Turkey’s Aegean region. Chef-owner Osman Sezener realised his childhood dream by creating a restaurant to cook ingredients from the soil and the sea of the fruitful Aegean region where he grew up. Combining his expertise and education in the culinary industry with his German and Cretan roots, he created a unique menu using the fresh regional produce that reinterpreted traditional dishes.
The restaurant is in complete harmony with nature, both in terms of menu and architectural structure. The monthly-changing menu is inspired by the seasonal products of the sea and soil, making the flavours created unique to the time of year. A farm-to-table approach is maintained throughout the year, which enables a sustainable kitchen and robust support to the local producers. Cooked in open-hearth fire, the dishes are a result of the finest ingredients and attention to detail.
Whether you enjoy your meal on the chefs’ table or elsewhere in the restaurant, it is designed to accommodate both summer and winter seasons, with a big olive tree garden and a spacious glass house. For anyone wishing to stay the night and enjoy the rest of the area, OD Urla also has a guest house with a swimming pool and a private garden.
