Meatballs are a crowd-pleaser, whether served with tomato sauce or plain – what really matters is frying them.

Meatballs are something we enjoy from childhood, loved by everyone, and for me they’re the ultimate comfort food for both heart and palate. These are simple yet delicious, and you can customize them with herbs, spices, or different sides depending on the season or your taste.

Here’s how to make italian fried meatballs

01.

If you don’t have pre-ground meat, grind it just once so it keeps a nice texture.

02.

Place the meat in a bowl and add the mashed boiled potato, the egg, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well until combined, then shape into walnut-sized meatballs.

03.

If the mixture seems too soft, add some breadcrumbs to firm it up.

04.

Roll each meatball in breadcrumbs and let them rest in the refrigerator, covered, for at least one hour: this way they’ll keep their shape while frying.

05.

Heat plenty of frying oil in a skillet. Once hot, fry a few meatballs at a time so the oil temperature doesn’t drop.

When evenly golden, drain on paper towels and sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Serve hot, maybe with a fresh side of tomato, red onion, and lettuce salad.
