International White Truffle Fair
The precious white truffle from Piedmont is celebrated in style during its annual hunting season, from the international truffle fair and market to unmissable seasonal dinners, the Langhe hills come alive with the headily scented tuber!
Fragrant and multifaceted, elegant and precious, the white truffle of Alba knows how to enchant with its scent and, well interpreted, knows how to be the cornerstone of unforgettable dishes.
To the delight of enthusiasts, the International White Truffle Fair of Alba is back - now in its 89th edition - from 5 October to 24 November with this year's theme "the perfect balance". A great party unfolds in the surrounding hills of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato that will allow you to get to know one of the most precious (and delicious) resources of these enchanted lands.
The heart of the event is the Alba White Truffle World Market, which is held every Saturday and Sunday throughout October and November. Inside, visitors can discover the Alba Truffle Show, an interactive space dedicated to debates, meetings, show cooking with the great chefs, sensory truffle analysis laboratories and wine tasting experience®. There will also be "taste twins" between the truffle and other specialities of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato hills, such as the Piedmont IGP hazelnut or the delicious cheeses. And, most importantly visitors can purchase their very own certified truffle direct from the truffle hunters.
The "unusual dinners" to discover the historical places
Haute cuisine enthusiasts cannot miss the "Unusual dinners" that bring famous star chefs to historic locations in the region. Cristina Bowerman will cook at the headquarters of the Famija Albeisa, the triumphant Cerea Brothers at the Busca Social Theater, Christian and Manuel Costardi will be protagonists at the Beppe Fenoglio Study Center, while the two Michelin starred Philippe Léveillé will be a guest of Alba's Town Hall.

Folklore will also be at the fore on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 October, when Alba will become a lively medieval village with hundreds of costumed figures involving visitors in games, skirmishes, street theatre, dances and songs. In every corner of the city delicacies of ancient flavors will be served, cooked directly "on the road" with traditional ingredients!
