Harley Langberg is a New York artist and food obsessive, although he spends much of his time playing with it rather than eating it, creating whimsical food art on plates.
After a moment of inspiration and with a 'give it a go' philosophy he has since gathered over 40,000 fans on Instagram with an eclectic and diverse portfolio that covers everything from pop art to pop singers.
“I first choose the piece, then I study the piece and I try and match up the colors and the textures. I’ll think about what ingredient I want to use, because every ingredient has a different texture,” he told Observer.
"The ingredients used in his pieces are carefully selected, spanning both the food pyramid and the globe," according to his website.
His customer portfolio is equally healthy, with a number of top brands seeking his food art expertise.
Here's a look at some of his light–hearted, eye–catching food on plate portraits below. And if you like this, check out Ida Skivenes, a fellow food art enthusiast who has managed to carve a living out of creating food art on plates.
