Popcorn seems to be undergoing somewhat of a makeover as of late with a number of artisan makers appearing and a focus on interesting popcorn ingredients emerging.
The latest flavor to get the popcorn makeover is wine with these two new hybrids born from a collaboration between the American gourmet popcorn company Populence and the New Zealand wine maker Kim Crawford.
The two flavors are infused with Chocolate and Pinot Noir Drizzle and Lemon with Sauvignon Blanc Kettle and are meant to offer a hint of each wine with each bite.
We like the idea of trying to incorporate the popcorn into a dish, maybe a dessert and serving that with a matching wine.
