Here’s a very clever idea from the industrial design student Kristof Retezár who has created a self filling water bottle that is powered by a person riding a bicycle.
The self filling bottle works by taking air and extracting it’s moisture using a process called thermoelectric cooling.
Retezár says the bottle is able to collect up to half a litre of water in an hour and hopes to pay for the commercial production of his idea through crowd funding.
The designer says he is also looking to add a purification unit to the device, meaning it will even work in heavily polluted areas.
