Thomas Keller says he plans to open a new hotel at his French Laundry restaurant in California.
Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, Keller said that once the current renovation of the restaurant’s kitchen and dining room is complete, the next step will be to open a small onsite hotel.
The famous chef who also runs the Per Se restaurant in New York, also hinted at stepping away from other projects to refocus on his work at The French Laundry.

“It’s just a natural extension for the restaurant to have rooms available… My goal is to be able to retire from my other stuff and reimmerse myself in the French Laundry—even more than in the past.”
