Nearly 48.000 images from amateur and professional photographers from 156 countries worldwide: just some of the amazing numbers behind the last edition of the Siena International Photo Awards, which crowned its winners on 28 October 2018.
Even though the photography competition is worldwide, the main goal of Siena International Photo Awards is to share experiences. "An opportunity which allows like-minded amateur and professional photographers to gather in Siena with the desire and the pride to be part of the same family" the competition's website explains.
Besides the ten categories awarded, an image by Bangladeshi documentary photographer K M Asad (crowned the "Photographer of the year") - "Battle victim" - won the overall title at the 2018 Siena International Photo Awards (SIPA) contest, while freelance photographer Tariq Zaidi, based in London, won the prestigious title of “Best Author 2018”.
