The Observer Food Monthly Awards for 2015 were announced on Friday with some of the food industries biggest and best personalities highlighted for their work.
The Best Food Personality award was given to chef Tom Kerridge from The Hand and Flowers pub while his Demi Chef de Partie George O’Leary was picked as the young chef of the year.
The OFM Awards include a mix of categories covering everything from best place for a drink to the best ethical restaurant.
The lifetime achievement award was given to Mary Berry for her “outstanding contribution to culinary arts” and the best restaurant in London award went to The Palomar.
Other awards included best food blog which went to Ella Woodward from the Deliciously Ella blog.
Speaking about he awards, Observer Food Monthly editor, Allan Jenkins said: “This year’s Observer Food Monthly Awards mark the 12th year of celebrating the best of British food and drink. From a brilliant beach shack on the coast of Northern Ireland to an inspirational fresh vegetable producer in South Wales, this year’s winners demonstrate a passion for great food from all over the UK. With six winners coming from outside the capital, London better look out.”
