The Michelin Guide has made its first-ever foray into Canadian restaurants with a 2022 Guide to Toronto, revealed on Tuesday 13 September.
After years of pursuit of the famous French restaurant reviewers, Canada can now point to 13 Michelin-starred restaurants in Toronto, the country’s second biggest city. One restaurant received the accolade of two Michelin stars –Sushi Masaki Saito. The rest represent a wide range of international cuisine, reflecting Toronto’s diverse population and eclectic dining scene. Vancouver will be the next Canadian city to get a Michelin Guide, later this year.
