We’ve highlighted home beer and wine brewing kits before at FDL HQ and the newest home brewing kit to step into this mix is this DIY Sake Kit from Uncommon Goods. Traditional Japanese sake is quite complicated production process but this kit promises to take this and make it accessible to the home brewer.
The kit comes with the rice and yeast needed to brew the alcoholic drink plus a number of pieces of equipment needed such as a siphon, tubing and a 1 gallon jug.
It was created by Norse Hutchens who says he’s attracted to the ‘magical’ chemical processes that happen when brewing. The kit can be ordered online and costs $57.
