Pide are Turkish flatbreads that are stuffed with various types of fillings - usually cheese, meats or a combination of both. Eating pide is a joy but you don't have to go as far as Istanbul to enjoy them. Make your own Turkish pide with this easy to follow recipe.
Pide dough is very similar to the dough used in baking a more famous Middle Eastern bread: pita. The fun part of making these Turkish flatbreads will be stuffing them with the sheep’s milk cheese. After making the dough and letting it rise, you will separate it into two portions. Then you will shape each portion into an oval disc, stuff with the cheese and fold over.
